Redelegating your Domain Name
If you've registered your domain name prior to working with us, you'll need to redelegate your domain name to our name servers.
Important: Please do not redelegate your domain name until we have advised you that your hosting account has been set up. Doing so, will stop your old web site and email account from working.
To redelegate your domain name, please go to the domain registrar where you registered your domain name and log in to administer your account.
You need to add the two name servers:
ns1.host-server.com.au
ns2.host-server.com.au
replacing what was there before (if anything). IP addresses should usually be optional, so leave them blank.
The domain will then take 24-72 hours to propagate through the internet to our web servers.
Remember to notify your old hosting company that you have moved servers.
If you have email on your old hosting account
Once the transfer has started, we suggest checking your email accounts on both your old and new servers for a couple of days. To do this, set up your new account in your email program alongside the old account and keep your computer turned on with your email program running. Once the transfer is complete (72 hours later), you can remove the old email account from your email program.
